Station access requests

Please direct all media requests for access to Queensland Rail property (i.e. trains, stations, freight forwarding facilities, infrastructure depots, railway tracks and sites) to media@qr.com.au.

Queensland Rail receives many requests for photography or videography in and around our stations and network. Please ensure you follow the correct guidelines below.

Rail enthusiast and amateur photography requests

If you are a rail enthusiast or amateur photographer, please read and follow the Rail Enthusiast and Amateur Photography guidelines (PDF | DOC).

When entering an attended station please take a copy of the guidelines with you and sign in with station staff before taking photographs.

Please note that Queensland Rail does not permit student film productions to film on our network due to safety considerations.

Commercial photography/videography requests

If you are a commercial photographer or videographer, please read and follow the Commercial photography/videography request process and guidelines

While we welcome requests from film crews and photographers, each request is considered on an individual basis and we do ask that you understand that we are running an operational railway and can only grant requests if they fall within our safety guidelines.

Depending on your production size, please allow four to six weeks for your application to be reviewed. Late applications may not be able to be accommodated.

Please note that Queensland Rail does not permit student film productions to film on our network due to safety considerations.
